The proceeds go to help support those groups who are housing and helping homeless female military veterans get off the streets.  Denny Lyon (yeah, that's me) is a journalist-blogger (so bored with homogenized news I started my own blogs just to entertain myself and my readers!), photographer and Louisiana artist intensely interested in social issues.

I saw a news report on NBC News, Nightly News with Brian Williams, about the more than 5,000 homeless female military vets that the Pentagon was not helping so I decided to start this fund raising effort over at Cafe Press (Denny Lyon Gifts) to help raise funds for the women.  The majority of these former female vets end up on the streets because of PTSD from being raped while serving in the military....

Dennys Funny Quotes: Comic Jimmy Kimmels Plan To Save The U.S. Post Office: From Denny:  These are outrageous times.  To really save the post office and pull it out of huge debt is to start sending snail mail cards, letters and packages.  Really?

Well, yeah, that obvious tactic would work and is a sensible one. After all, the post office lost over $1 billion just in the last quarter of 2012 - and that included the holiday season of which they apparently did not get much of a share of the business.

But what debt answer would be a lot more creative and fun?  Comic Jimmy Kimmel has the answer.  He advocates the President legalize marijuana and then put the U.S. Post Office to be the only guys who can deliver it.  Outrageous?  Maybe, uh, hmmm.... it's actually a monopoly idea that would work!  Yay! Capitalism at work!  :)

Why Russians Dashboard Cams Catch So Many Funny Things

From Denny:  When you live in a police state country, stuffed to the gills with corrupt police and politicians, the average Russian takes measures to get the record straight.

Come on; it's common global knowledge the old Cold War intelligence community - the dreaded ruthless KGB - and the current Russian drug cartels basically run Russia, though the public is demanding serious reform. The average Russian knows they are at the mercy of both a corrupt government from the national to the local levels that allows the Wild West atmosphere for scam artists to prey upon the public at an alarming rate.

Dashboard cams go a long way toward recording those phony accident victims (some really bad acting on their part) or corrupt police demanding bribes.  Meanwhile, because there are literally millions of Russian motorists driving around with those dashboard cams they are often witness to the craziest incidences from the recent meteor strike to a military jet flying so low it was buzzing the highway.  Check out what else was recorded in this video like a military tank, coming out of nowhere and suddenly scooting across the highway intersection at breakneck speed.  That certainly brought a halt to traffic.  Only in Russia?

A Truth Journal: Obama Legacy At Risk? Thuggish Justice Dept Needs Reform?: From Denny:  It's no wonder there now exist 300 million guns owned in America since terrorism struck in 2001.  People are afraid of outside terrorists, desperate to protect themselves and their families.

Americans now feel threatened by and afraid of their own government.  Just check out the latest Pew Research poll where the majority feel the federal government threatens their personal rights.

Do they have good cause since the erosion of individual rights, freedoms, civil rights and privacy taken away under the last two administrations, courtesy of the Justice Department, all because of the War on Terror?

It's the general perception in America that our Justice Department is heavy-handed in its prosecution of cases.  OK, the perception is that it persecutes people, not prosecutes.  Clearly, there needs to be a top-down review from an outside consultant, preferably a team of investigators.
