From Denny: Come check out the best of this week's political cartoons, lampooning politicians, Life and sports. Instead of paging through 50 websites pages to look at one cartoon at a time, I've embedded a dozen or more per post to enjoy easily. Can you tell I find it annoying to load page after page just to see all the latest cartoons? :)

These were only a few world soccer cup cartoons available for embedding. To see more just click on the link under the cartoons to take you to the cartoonists' sites. It seems like every night on the TV news we would hear those vuvuzela horns making their joyful noise while they blew out everyone's eardrums. Cartoonists had a lot of fun with that cultural icon.

Congrats go the USA soccer team as they made us proud. It was an amazing run with upset after upset. We got some bad referee calls when it was obvious the gambling syndicate phoned in how they wanted the game to be called. America's team still went forward to win after win. This week it was Ghana's turn to win against America and knock us out of the race for the world cup.

America's team went into this competition with little hope and fewer expectations. As far as Americans are concerned our team was a Cinderella team. They succeeded in winning our hearts and ignited a huge interest in this country for the game of soccer. From my corner of the world, I'd say your game was well played, guys!

Obamas Kick Ass Comments Cartoons - 12 June 2010

*** Obama takes hits for speaking the truth about the screw ups of Big Business, military and government heads not giving America their "A" game.





From Denny: Of course, the Republicans create crazy things to throw on to the political wall, hoping it will stick. This time no one is interested in their unpatriotic haranguing while the country is in serious crisis.

No one down on the Gulf Coast cares if the President is emoting proper righteous anger or not. What we want is to made whole from the damage. What we want is some serious hard-charging clean up efforts that have yet to materialize. Actor Kevin Costner has what it takes, could have supplied it from the first day, could have kept the oil from coming ashore and yet still the politicians wrangle. The media worries about Obama being angry enough or who's in charge or how much BP should pay. What is wrong with all these people? Is common sense no longer commonly written into American DNA?

Part of the economy and environment is dying a slow torturous death while the politicians make merry with the war of words. At this point, the Republicans and their mouth organ, Liar News aka Fox News, should just "Shut the F up!" The Gulf Coast is not interested in Republican politicians grand-standing while they gear up to run for President in 2012.

There was a time when Americans had their heads screwed on straight and actually cared about how best to govern. It's time to set aside all this self-absorption and selfishness and learn to govern again, doing what's right for the majority of America again.

Tea Party Weird and Immigration Cartoons - 5 June 2010

From Denny: And the Tea Party just keeps on giving to the comedians and cartoonists... :) Have you noticed with this BP oil spill out in the Gulf that suddenly Sarah Palin and cronies are conspicuously quiet about their former slogan of "Drill, Baby, Drill!"? Bet Arizona is happy that the oil spill is front and center in the news and the media glare is not so hot on them at the moment. It does appear there are still those cartoonists who are lampooning the Arizona immigration law.

Everyone agrees we need to get serious about passing new immigration reform laws. We also need to get serious about enforcing immigration law we already have on the books. Porous borders have brought the border states far too much crime and the rest of the country far too many cheap drugs like $10 heroin that is 60 to 80 percent pure and deadly.

Immigration reform as Arizona writes it is just not practical for the police to enforce. Politicians need to get serious about passing smart reforms that are practical to enforce instead of just responding emotionally in an election year.

From Denny: This sure has been quite the week with the drama unfolding out in the Gulf of Mexico with the BP oil spill off my Louisiana coast. The cartoonists have had great fun lampooning the various lies and finger pointing from the CEOs involved. The better news is that BP is finally making a bit of headway on corralling some of the oil for clean up, siphoning it into a tanker.

Some headway is better than nothing and at least it has slowed down the rate of gushing oil and natural gas for the moment. Definitely better than using an atomic bomb to blow up the well like the crazy Russians suggested. There's a plan. Nuke the Gulf of Mexico and irradiate the ocean waters for the next thousand years. Fortunately, BP and the government are contemplating lesser crazy options.

As a result of the oil spill there are countless great political cartoons and funny videos by the likes of Colbert to enjoy. And Betty White was the toast of late night TV on SNL after turning in some hilarious performances. She then proceeded to go out all night carousing with the SNL cast after the show. She's almost 89 years old and there's no time to waste for having fun! :)

Times Square Terrorist Bomber: Political Cartoons 8 May 2010

From Denny: No matter what is going on in America and the world our cartoonists manage to create comments that expose the hypocrisy of politicians or the insanity of a latest trend. Insanity at its worst and most destructive to society is terrorism. Of course, the true heroes here were just a couple of regular guys who noticed something was amiss and alerted police to investigate. A great cartoon celebrating them really says it all.

Like so many people I have no sympathy for terrorists, especially when, like this one, they were so insensitive to place a bomb outside a gathering place for children. How cowardly can you get? If they want to truly protest a government then they would target military installations not civilian.

Of course, none of this is really about protesting but rather about being criminals and psychopaths who enjoy killing. There's a reason why here in the West we don't intermarry with our first cousins and our sisters like the Middle East still practices to this day from a centuries old custom. It's called inbreeding that creates insanity. Too small of a gene pool really explains the Middle Eastern issues.

The Middle East problems will never get resolved until their governments get serious about instituting programs to widen their gene pool for the next generations. Either that or the West had better start researching a new sanity bomb that does not kill but rather releases a gas to spread out into the entire population to right their brain chemicals.
